Keep your ears open

So you can't keep your eyes off the person you are seeing, but are you listening to them? If you no, then you have already answered why your relationship has taken a turn for the worst. If you answered yes, then although you may pay attention to your partners needs, there may be unspoken requests or dissatisfaction. Talk to them to figure out what the problem is so you can make the relationship work. Once you've done that, you can fix it.

Astonish them

Do an act of kindness that you normally wouldn't do. Do you never cook? Have a candle lit dinner ready for them when they come home. Are you artistic? Paint, sculpt, or create an original gift for them. Go out and buy something you know that they've wanted because you have been listening to them, wrap it up, and give it to them. It doesn't have to be their birthday or a holiday to give them a present. Or maybe you could book your favourite restaurant? Be wary however, as money cannot buy happiness - it can however buy a puppy or diamond ring.
You must do something unique to save a relationship.

Go to new places

When was the last time the two of you took a vacation together? It doesn't have to be flight overseas or a cruise, you can spend a weekend camping or take a trip and stay at a hotel for a night. See a play together, take dancing classes, or learn how to do karate together. If the two of you share an interest in sports then play together. Not only will the two of you be spending time doing new things, but by being active it will keep you both in shape. Save a relationship by experiencing something new.

"Do it" more

When was the last time the two of you made love? Really made love. So great that the both of you never felt better? If your answer wasn't "today" then grab your lover and take off their clothes. Don't be afraid to ask them what they want in bed. Don't be too ashamed to tell them what you want either. Save a relationship and make love more often.

Go to couples counseling

Seeing a psychiatrist is an admission in and of itself that the two of you acknowledge there is something wrong with the relationship. If the two of you are both willing to admit to mistakes and problems, then once those problems have been identified you can fix them. If your partner doesn't want to see a psychiatrist then you need to reevaluate your situation. Whether you need anger management or self esteem help. Save a relationship by getting your issues sorted out.

If none of the above steps have saved your relationship, then it probably isn't worth saving. If they aren't willing to spend as much time as you are in dealing with whatever is making the two of you unhappy, then why would you want to spend the rest of your life with them?
